Milton Keynes VTS

We are ...

a small, friendly and inclusive scheme with enthusiastic Programme Directors, experienced Trainers and motivated Trainees.

We believe ...

that with the right foundation, there is no more stimulating or enjoyable a career than General Practice.

We aim ...

to give GP trainees the opportunities and encouragement to excel and to help them create the best possible springboard for successful careers.

We hope ...

you like the cut of our jib and we'd love to have you on board!

Welcome to the Milton Keynes GP Training Scheme website. We hope this site helps trainers and trainees to keep up to date with what's happening in the scheme as well as to share resources and ideas. If you're not yet with us but you are thinking about a career as a GP then we're glad you've found us!

The Grand Union Canal runs through the heart of Milton KeynesThe Grand Union Canal runs through the heart of Milton KeynesAlthough we're one of the smaller schemes in the Oxford Deanery, what we lack in size, we more than make up for in enthusiasm. Our trainees are a fun and friendly bunch who really do direct the training programme and often lead the teaching too. They leave the scheme with an excellent foundation but also valuable teaching experience.

The trainers are a very experienced team who give considerable support and guidance, often well beyond the call of duty. Our Programme Directors and Associate Director, meanwhile, steer the scheme with an expert hand, often taking an innovative and creative approach to developing it further.

If you are thinking about a career in General Practice and might be interested in joining us, then please do explore the site to see what we get up to. We'd love to hear from you if you have any questions.
